Through these efforts, NB CLTC is committed to creating a more inclusive and sustainable housing landscape in New Brunswick.
New Brunswick Community Land Trust Co-operative (NBCLTC) is a legally incorporated entity under the New Brunswick Co-operative Associations Act. Its primary mission is to foster the development of sustainable, mixed-income communities by acquiring land and buildings to transform them into affordable housing units.
NB CLTC aims to construct, operate, maintain, improve, buy, own, sell, convey, assign, mortgage, or contract any real estate and personal property necessary to support affordable housing projects in New Brunswick. The co-operative engages in various activities and contracts essential to achieving its mission of providing affordable housing. Additionally, NB CLTC seeks to partner with or join associations and corporations with similar objectives to enhance its impact and benefit the co-operative directly or indirectly. The organization is also dedicated to promoting a better understanding of co-operative principles and contributing to societal betterment.
Our Objectives
To construct, operate, maintain, improve, buy, own, sell, convey, assign, mortgage or contract any real estate and any personal property necessary or incidental to the provisions of such agreements to support the development and or sustainability of affordable housing projects in New Brunswick;
To enter into any kind of activity and to perform and carry out contracts of any kind necessary to, or in conjunction with, or incidental to the accomplishment of providing such contracts;
To partner with and or become a Member of any association or corporation having objects altogether or in part like those of the New Brunswick Community Land Trust Co-operative Ltd. or carrying on any business activity capable of being conducted to directly or indirectly benefit New Brunswick Community Land Trust Co-operative Ltd.; and
To encourage and promote a better understanding of co-operative principles and to contribute to the betterment of society;
