Reflecting on our achievements in 2025 and looking forward to 2026

As we approach the end of our first year in operations, we’re proud to reflect on what we’ve achieved and excited for what’s ahead.

From holding our first annual general meeting in January, and launching our website in May, the co-op has made huge progress throughout the year.

One huge development was signing on to the New Brunswick Community Housing Alliance (the Alliance), a collective of four organizations united by a shared mission to promote safe, inclusive, sustainable, and at-cost housing across New Brunswick.

We participated in the larger non-market housing movement by taking part in the Provincial Community Land Trust Canada Regeneration Forum, the annual meeting for the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada, the Canadian Land Trust Summit, and the New Brunswick Non-Profit Housing Association conference.

NB CLTC has officially begun the process of applying for charitable status, a significant step forward in our long-term growth strategy. Achieving charitable status will enhance our ability to access new funding streams, build partnerships, and expand our impact across New Brunswick.

We continue to see growing interest from individuals and organizations eager to learn more about land co-operatives and get involved in our work. This increased engagement reflects the strength of our outreach efforts and the rising visibility of our mission across New Brunswick.

We’re finishing 2025 in a strong position, full of appreciation for our community, and looking forward to 2026. We hope that the end of the year offers you an opportunity for rest, reflection, and time with loved ones, and we can’t wait to see what 2026 will hold.
